"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

A Day in the Sunshine....

Now that Lindsy is walking I figured she was finally ready to really go outside and play. Her and Clayton spent over and hour digging in the rocks and dirt. Don't let that New Mexico sunshine fool you it was a lot colder than it looked!

Then one of our neighbors came over so Wilfred could work his tractor magic. Clayton is crouched down on the other side of Wilfred. He spent the time taking a deep interest in the engine and repeating everything his daddy said.

Alphabet Soup...

Lindsy got into a fight with her soup and I think it won! Clayton who was looking on in amazement commented in his ever flat voice with barely any expression: "uh oh...sis has an 'e' in her hair!"
Just looking at these pictures and Lindsy's expression gives me the giggles! Do you see the E in her hair and what about the noodles on the floor behind her? If you want to see this picture larger just click on it.

Sheet Monsters and more....

Yumm... Lindsy LOVES banana chocolate chip muffins. So I make them pretty often and this is usually the end result. Anyone for a kiss??

I love this picture of Lindsy. She was watching me take pictures of her when she decided to get really close and touch the lens. Her grin makes the poor quality worth it!
The sheet monster chases his sister!!!! They ran all around the house last night. Clayton is so Happy to have a playmate that walks!
Finally enough hair for a single ponytail with a REAL rubber band!

The scary sheet monster gets whats coming to him!
Here Lindsy is walking. She stops to cry because she is so tired. Since she has started walking when she wants to go to bed she will walk to her room, turn around and come halfway back and motion for you to follow her. She finally really started walking last Sunday. She turned 15 months on Tuesday. Hurray for Lindsy!!! (now I am going to go wipe the tears out of my eyes)

Togas, Pink Chairs, and Little Box Houses...

Clayton and his Toga. (Clayton's Note to others: "these are NOT easy to play in and often come apart!")
My walking buddies.... well for them they more or less get to ride. :)
Lindsy got her OWN chair! When Clayton turned 16 months I got him a little blue chair. His sister and him fight (can you believe it?) over the chair nonstop. Lindsy will be 16 months next week so it was time for her own chair!
Making it officially hers....ripping off the tags.
Clayton didn't get the new chair this time but.... He did get every little boys dream. A box House. Here he is hiding in it,see his little fingers holding the doors closed?
Quite the cozy little place for snacking. I thought about helping him write "No girls allowed" but then I realized that would include me and didn't want to encourage that. :)

Last few Pictures of the Cruise.....

Here we are just getting off the ship in Jamacia.
Our Formal Night. Everyone in the Group. (See I told you there was a lot of us!)
Clayton's Formal picture.
Lindsy's Formal picture.

Everyone right after we all finally made it onto the Ship for the first time.

Random Pictures....

Lindsy is trying to fill her bath cup with the water dripping off her other toy. Pretty smart! For some reason she insisted on having her pacifier in the tub last night.
Clayton who is a true boy loves to play with the water pistol. He has a great sister who lets him squirt her and thinks it is funny.

Doing girl things! Lindsy just got this little lamb purse from Aunt Wanda last night. She loves it!

Here she is sitting in her brother's chair and talking on her phone. She calls the phone her "Hi."

Some Videos.....

Here is a video of Lindsy goofing around. I am sorry that the sound isn't working I am going to keep trying to get it fixed. As a side note, for those of you who are going to be appalled that Lindsy is standing in her High Chair, I must explain things. Lindsy is a DARE DEVIL the more dangerous, the more she likes it. We have done everything we can short of super gluing her butt to the chair. Even when she is tied down she will wiggle her way out of the ties and stand up. We have even tried to belt her in with the same result. Not even a swat on the hiney will get her to sit down. Since she learned to stand she insists that she stand in her chair. Before she could stand she would sit backwards in her chair. (If you don't believe me look at my very first post.) I know we are the parents and that we shouldn't let her get away with it, but we are at our wits end. Jeanie (Wilfred's mom) just laughs and says "oh yes I remember" So apparently this is just proof that Lindsy is a CRONK KID! If any one has any suggestions on ways to make her sit please leave your comment.

Riding the Freedom...

The Kids first Airplane ride! My Grandpa Cliff decided to take all his kids and grandkids (and 2 great grandkids) on a cruise vacation. We left on Friday the 21st of December. It was pretty fun since there was like 24 of us. We basically had our own section of the plane. And there was well over 40 large suitcases. We spent Saturday in Miami and then got on the Cruise ship Sunday. The ship we went on was called the Freedom of the Seas. It is the Largest cruise ship in any Ocean in the world. The ship even had an Ice Skating rink where they put on ice skating shows. We stopped at 4 ports. Haiti, where I didn't get off the ship. There was a Iranian gun boat that escorted us into the Island. I was too scared to get off. Wilfred got off and said there were gaurds with machine guns nearly everywhere. Then we went to Jamacia. I loved it! Our next stop was Grand Cayman Islands. I didn't know that the Cayman Islands were still owned by Great Britian and therefore still under the British Queens rule. It was very neat to see. Our last stop was at Cozumel, Mexico. None of were impressed and no one has any desire to go back there! Then it was back to Miami on Sunday were we got off the ship and went straight to the Airport to come home.
Sissy(my Aunt Janice,) Alexander, Lindsy, and Me all playing at the beach in Miami. We spent a Day in Miami before getting on our Cruise ship.

Tuckered out after a day at the beach in Miami.

Here is Lindsy and I in the H2O Zone on the ship. Lindsy LOVED the water and didn't want to get out of it. Clayton was a little fearful of it and hated to get his face wet.

Wilfred did something called the FlowRider. It was basically a surfing simulater. Here he is boogie boarding. Wilfred was getting some last minute instruction before jumping on to the board.

This is Ocho Rios, Jamacia. I loved this place! I didn't expect it to be as mountainous as it was. Everyone was facinated with Wilfred's boots because most of them didn't even have shoes. About every five minutes we would get stopped so the locals could see the boots. Wilfred had to lift up his pant leg several times. I would love to go back to Jamaica...any takers?

One of our stops in Grand Cayman was the town of Hell. It got its name by the natural rock formations there. They were pretty creepy, there is all this beautiful green and sand and then bam these creepy rocks. There is water at the bottom of the rocks but it is nasty and murky from lizards and other things that have fallen in there and been unable to get out.

We went to a Turtle farm in Grand Cayman. We learned some facinating things about sea turtles. Clayton got to hold a Turtle egg. It was like a ping pong ball but bigger and it was much heaver than you would expect. We all got to touch a turtle. I would have never expected that their shells were rubber like. I always assumed they would be hard. I learned Sea Turtles are different!

Clayton and Uncle Leon Playing in the H2O Kids Zone on the ship. Clayton took a nasty fall shortly after this picture was taken. He still has the knot on his head from it.

Eating a Hamburger at the Miami Airport. We were all tired out and waiting to come home. We had to fly from Miami to Houston which is where they forgot to put our luggage on the plane. So from Houston we flew to Albuquerque only to arrive and find we had no luggage. Our men were nice enough to wait around to collect our luggage 3 hours later.

Lindsy was very 'into' helping me unpack when we got home.

BUSTED!...

My Uncle Leon calls this "a bad day to ask for a loan!" I have to agree as you can see Lindsy is quite a Pro at throwing a fit. She was holding the phone and screaming because I had told her "no." And to think she isn't even in her teens.....(I am sitting here grimacing)

Clayton was clunking around the house in his Daddy's boots....I think those are some pretty big shoes to fill!

After the trek in the boots I found Clayton quietly sitting at the kitchen counter reading a Pampered Chef Catalog. He told me all the items I have and the ones I should get. (hmmmm.... maybe I should start taking him with me to my shows. )

Wow! It's Been A While...

Hello everyone, so sorry I haven't blogged in a long time. I couldn't get my computer to read my camera card. Then my computer broke and was in the shop for a week. Then I still couldn't get it to read my camera card. I had a few Pampered Chef Cooking Shows that keep me busy. Then we left for 10 days of Vacation. Any how here I am back at home with lots of new pictures... I hope you enjoy them!
P.S. Thank you to everyone who has commented on my blog I really enjoy reading all your comments.
