"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

Sniff, Sniff...Can You Smell Them?...

These Kids are so spoiled they must be nearly rotten! Thursday night we (the kids and I) met Wilfred after work for supper at the Olive Garden. Since Clayton and Lindsy both ate all their food Clayton was allowed to get a dessert. Here are the Happy Chocolate faces:

After Olive Garden we went to the NEW Starbucks. Korina is working there and it was Family and Friends night which meant FREE coffee! As we stood outside drinking our coffee Clayton managed to persuade Korina to jump off the patio ledge with him. NO Korina wasn't slacking at work, her shift had just finished.

Friday Wilfred had off work. Since Lindsy has just hit a growth spurt and needed some jammies that fit, and Wilfred needed new boots we went to the mall. Lindsy also got some new shoes and a shiny black purse that she is all too proud of!

Clayton bargained himself a ride on one of those toys that every mother dreads and every kid begs for. The mall is pretty smart positioning those right in the middle of where you walk so there is no way you can avoid them!

Clayton helping Daddy shop for new boots. Clayton lucked out he also got new boots! They are the little John Deere boots for kids. I forgot to take a picture of them so I will try to remember and post a picture.
Saturday we stayed home and worked around the house. Wilfred helped a friend put his tractor engine back together, and I spent the day standing in front of kitchen stove and the kitchen sink. Clayton went to Walmart with Amma and came home with a Kids John Deere tractor!
Sunday I cooked a lunch of Prime Rib, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, beer bread, and my sister brought a salad. I finished out the meal with homemade Coke Cake. Korina, my mom and dad, and my sis and her hubby all came for lunch. The minute Korina walked in the door she was mauled by kids and everyone else was chopped liver! (Clayton is wearing his boots.)

After lunch Clayton helped his Daddy put his new tractor together. Then it was nap time for everyone.
Lindsy was the fist to wake up. She beelined it for her brothers tractor and had fun on it before he did.
Monday morning Clayton finally got to drive his tractor. The batteries had to charge for 18 hours. He rode it around the yard and even helped me take some feed to the chickens! Notice he is still wearing his jammies.
Giving sis a ride. She was soooooo mad that she didn't get to drive.
Hope you have enjoyed the pictures and I am sure you can now smell these spoiled and nearly rotten kids!

Hey it looks like you guys were having a great time. Where did you find that tractor? It is great, and Fischer would love it.

Kate-

My mom got it at Walmart. In the toy section kinda near the bikes.

Hope that helps!

What a lot of fun you are having with your kids--thanks for sharing--and don't worrying about them being spoiled--they are only young once!
