The Moon.....

Here are some pictures of the moon I took the other night. This was as it was rising. It was a beautiful orange and there just enough clouds in the sky to keep it playing peek a boo. When the clouds would black some of it out Clayton kept asking, "Why is the moon broken?"

Love your moon pictures. I'm wondering how you took them?? I've got nice sunrise and sunset pictures, but when I tried the moon, it was just a pale blur :-(

Thanks for the comments.... I am not sure how I took this. I am by no means a pro nor do I know anything about cameras. :) I have a Cannon with a 12x zoom so I zoomed in all the way and turned my setting to night. I also used my flash. I took several attemps at the moon and finally realized I was shaking and making it blurry. I set a side of my camera up against the porch post and that helped stabilize it. I hope that helps!
