"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

Little Baby Dumpling.....

Let the countdown begin....9 more weeks to go!
I had an ultrasound yesterday just to check the baby's growth.....he is already head down and has dropped. He will drop more...but this is the earliest any of the kids have dropped. He is big and has a big head.....OH JOY! I thought Kaleb's was big, this one is bigger!
He is face first into the placenta, since the placenta has attached itself to the front. That makes it hard to get a good look at the cutie, but we did see a partial of the face. The blob under his chin is his fist. And no...the boy parts didn't disappear, they are still there more than ever. There is no doubt that this is a boy, now if only we could come up with a name.

The Man I Married....

This is the Handsome Man that I married 7 years ago today! It was the first day of Fall then too! He doesn't like fall but he was happy to indulge me, since it is my favorite season. 7 years and 3 (almost 4) kids later, I love him more than ever!!!!! Thanks for putting up with me!
Happy Anniversary Wilfred!

Clayton Turns 6!!!!...

Exactly 1 week after Kaleb's Birthday Bash we were partying again! Clayton turned 6!!! It was hard for me to have my oldest baby and my youngest baby marking milestones at nearly the same time. I really felt like my kids were just growing up way too fast and getting away from me. Wilfred spent his weekends building Clayton's birthday gift this year.

Yep, that is one bright yellow custom made digger.....My husband is AMAZING!

I tried to make Clayton a Lego cake. Others said this looked like a lego, but I didn't think so.
Playing a safe distance away from the bigger boy party.
Clayton with some of his buddies that came to help him party the night away. Who knew 6 could be so fun!

Kaleb Turns1!!!....

On July 25th Kaleb turned 1! He started walking about 1 1/2 weeks before his birthday. (Of course I don't have any pictures of that.) I made him a Carrot Cake and we had the family over to celebrate.
I love his shirt! Best part is I got it in the sale rack for 5o% off!

Snow White even showed up to dance with the Birthday Boy.

Big Brother gave him fast rides around the living room.

The presents were GREAT!
He loves to play ball.

Then it was cake time....Kaleb did not hesitate!

The cake has been demolished. He learned the word Cake that night and now he asks, "Eat Cake!" pretty often.
Into the tub he went....he came back out fresh and clean and totally satisfied with his birthday.

Where did Summer Go? Part 2......

oops...I found more pictures of our summer.
This is our first snake of the season. See how well it is hidden? I was wearing flip flops and walking out near the garden with Wilfred. I stepped on the stupid thing, when it twitched I jumped like 10 feet. I was screaming about a snake when Wilfred informed me that it wasn't just a snake, but a RATTLESNAKE! I nearly sprouted wings on my way to get a shovel. (and a camera)

It is only a itty-bitty one but those are the worst. It attacked the shovel and spit it's venom everywhere. I do believe the only thing that saved me was that it had just rained and it was cold, so that made the snake slow to react. Our snake count this summer has been 13 on our 2 acres. All but 2 of them Bullsnakes. I have run over 2 LARGE rattlesnakes on the road right by our house, but they were not on our property.
In June my Mom and Dad took the kids and me for a Day Out With Thomas. Durango was beautiful as usual and the kids and I had a blast. Wilfred opted to stay home and take care of things.

IT'S THOMAS!

Sir Topham Hat

This is a bull snake that scared 10 years off my life when taking the trash out to the dumpster one morning. 6:30 am and I am screaming and dancing around at the top of my lungs, "Wilfred SNAKE come kill it!" He didn't hear me but all the neighbors did!

A beautiful full rainbow after a evening rain shower.

Where did Summer Go????

Here it is September 1st already! Don't get me wrong I LOVE IT! I love fall and the harvest that comes with it. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, cool nights, warm days, the air is crisp, the harvest, canning, I could go on forever about fall!
I kept meaning to post pictures about our summer, but it never happened....I guess better late than never right? We did go to Wyoming and help Grandma and Grandpa Cronk brand their cattle in May. But I just made those photos into a book and never got them posted, sorry! Also in May....
Clayton graduated Kindergarten!

Wilfred had a few days of working at the yard doing equipment maintenance. The kids love to see what daddy is doing at work, so we took a picnic lunch to him. Kaleb spent some time dreaming of driving Daddy's truck.

The kids eating with Dad.

We also had some scorcher days here this summer.....

We experienced our first lost tooth! Just a week later he lost his 2nd tooth.
Why buy toys when a bag of $4 plumbing parts is far more interesting...he played with this for hours!

Clayton got to spend nearly a whole week working with his Dad. Wilfred was not on the crane, instead he was doing some tree clearing and pipe fence building. I was able to take lunch to Wilfred everyday that week....the kids loved seeing and eating lunch with Dad. Clayton had built this shelter for himself. (Dad helped just a bit.) So he and Dad ate lunch in there.

Kaleb has become a climber.... He was climbing onto this box and then sliding across it, plopping off at the end, just to get up turn around and do it again. I think it looks like he is practicing his iron working skills.
In May Grandpa Gary made a camping/fishing promise to Clayton. So the last week of July we went to Heron Lake for 4 days. The kids had a blast......can you believe this is the only picture I took, and we were leaving?!
We also Celebrated 2 birthdays and started school but I will post those separately.
