"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

Feeling very Spoiled.....

Just before Thanksgiving I had a birthday. Nothing too impressive...just inching ever closer to 30! I received some beautiful Lilies from my hubby and some yummy chocolates. Kaleb did his part by eating the entire bag of chocolates. Thanks buddy, guess I didn't really need the calories! I was also taken out to dinner, but the real treat was the dishes.
That's right I said dishes...Not just any dishes, FIESTA WARE!!!! Aren't they beautiful?! I love them and am feeling quite spoiled! Birthdays aren't so bad, especially when they come with Fiesta ware!

Kaleb, oh dear sweet, naughty Kaleb! At 2 years old he insists that he is old enough to cook at the stove. No matter what I do I can not keep him out of MY kitchen.....I guess I had better get used to it and accept the help!

Today came the with the first bits of moisture. We are desperately needing any wet we get. Today it came in the form of ice and a bit of snow. We don't get that much snow here so our state is ill equipped to deal with it. Wilfred got caught up in this mess trying to make his way home this afternoon. This is on the interstate, which they finally just had to close. But then there was a rollover on RT 66, which blocked the 2 main routes to our town. Wilfred made it home unscathed.....I wish I could say the same for these poor trucks!
They were effectively holding each other up, keeping them from rolling over.

The fiesta ware is awesome. I don't think I've every seen the silverware before - how cute. I love the bright colors. And your Caleb reminds me of Desmond. I think he could scramble an egg by himself. I too have given up on keeping him away from the stove.

Love the dishes! Happy belated birthday! Had to laugh at Caleb too--oh boy, I had one of those too! Ryan was in the fridge as soon as he could manage to walk & get the door open--climbing on the shelves finding food. On the cupboards getting into the food, then he actually learned to cook fried eggs before I did because he wanted them!
Not looking forward to winter here--we're getting our first snow today. That pile-up looks like quite the mess!
