Something that is near and dear to my heart....the ability to choose life. Now I am going to avoid my soapbox here...but I would ask that you take some time and listen or watch this. Carol Everett is a woman who has been through abortion, helped sign others up for abortions, and had a change of heart and became a pro life advocate. Carol also tells how sex education in Public Schools is paid for by abortions. Just another reason why I choose to HOME SCHOOL my children. I see your point, but...as a teacher in a public school, I have to say our elementary and middle schools are not teaching sex ed. Unfortunately, parents don't teach their children about puberty so we have to do a crash course in that when a girl has no idea what her period is. My son is in high school and has never had sex ed yet. When it was time for the "puberty talk" in mid school, I had to sign a permission slip for my kids to go. It was a choice. So...it might be that way some places, but not where I am, thankfully!
Lucky for you guys...sex ed hasn't been an issue. For us it has....they started it in kindergarten along with a course about how its ok for boys to have sexual feelings for boys. I'm just not cool with that....whats wrong with just letting our children be children?
