"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

Pumpkin Pants + Fuzzi Bunz = AWESOME!!!!

I guess I had better explain myself. I have been toying with the idea of cloth diapering for quite sometime. Kaleb turned 8 months yesterday....in his 8 months we have spent a fortune in diapers. We can not find one that doesn't make Kaleb get a rash on his body. He is very sensitive to the filler in the diapers. We have tried them all....natural and unnatural brands. The other thing is Kaleb is a very HEAVY wetter, leaking through most disposables. I decided to give cloth a try. I have have gotten just a handful of different brands/types. I have some Bummis prefolds and covers. I have one Bamboo fitted diaper that needs covered. I have 2 Bumgenius pocket diapers. Last but not least I have 1 Fuzzi Bunz perfect fit pocket diaper. I am not a huge fan of the Bummis. They are pretty bulky and the covers are a crap shoot in fitting well. The Bumgenius is ok..... I like it, but it is also bulky. I love the Bamboo one.....but put a cover on it and once again too bulky. I LOVE MY FUZZI BUNZ! It isn't a one size diaper, so it doesn't have a whole lot of extra to it. I would gladly trade all of my Bummis for the Fuzzi Bunz perfect fit diaper. I have been doing some Internet searching trying to find a different type of cover that won't make the bamboo one so bulky. I stumbled across Pumpkin Pants by Jenoa.
http://www.etsy.com/shop/jenoahp She made Kaleb a pair of Longies in fleece. I am not a huge fan of wool so I liked this option. I was able to put Kaleb in the Bamboo diaper and these longies with out any soaking messes. The fleece held the wet in. I LOVE THESE! Thanks Jenoa, I will be back for more!
Here is the one Fuzzi Bunz that I have. Very trim and fitted, NO BULK. I would recommend these to anyone who is interested in Cloth diapers.
Of course when you cloth diaper, you must be careful of the type of laundry detergent you use. I usually use Seventh Generation scent free. While this works just fine, sometimes I feel like I have to use way too much soap to get our clothes and now diapers clean. Dalayna suggested that I try using Crunchy Clean, so I ordered a few sample packs. Once again I am really impressed. I am not a huge fan of the essential oils they promote as I use Young Living Essential Oils. YL Oils are far more pure than their brand. http://luv2oil.younglivingworld.com That being said, I do love the Clean of Crunchy Clean , I just stick to their unscented and plain version. Check them out at: http://www.crunchyclean.com/
Anyone have any Fuzzi Bunz they don't want?????

I love all the posts about cloth diapering. I tried CD several times & sometimes out of necessity with mine, but those "old-basic" diapers & rubber pants were a pain, and yucky besides. CD has come a LONG ways!

We have been cloth diapering since Desmond was one month old. We use all Bum Genius one size fits all. I have been really happy for the most part. They fit fairly trim, but I have had to replace the velcro on most of them. But not a big deal because my mom helped out. I may have to try some fuzzi bunz though. I did crunchy clean for a while, but now use Rockin Green cloth diaper detergent and love it.

I have some large fuzzi bunz that I'm ready to sell...they are girly colors so you might not like that. Also I bought them as 2nds-- they worked great for us--think I have 9 diapers and 12 inserts (I'm not at home right now so don't know for sure) Email me if you are interested in them shaunandhelen@yahoo.com No big deal if you aren't. I'm be putting them on CraigsList soon.

Yay for fuzzy bunz!! I love them, and prefer the sized ones to the OS fuzzi bunz.

Yes, if you want to sell what you have to get more fuzzi bunz, you can try selling them at diaperswappers.
I'm wanting to get more myself because Barrett is outgrowing some of his small blueberry ones.

BTW, it was nice to talk to you the other day!

We started cloth diapering with Ezariah and are LOVING it! Not sure why we didn't do it with Elias! The soap that works super well for us is Shaklee's liquid concentrate or their powder formula. The powder helps get stains out. They are both chemical and scent free but work SO well.
I just ordered Lias some cloth training pants since I am tired of buying pullups and he won't re-wear used pullups (they're obviously dry when I put them back on him but they crinkle up and he doesn't like the feeling of it, I guess). So, we'll try some cloth training pants and see if we can save even more money!
