"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

Chicks, Bears & Demo......

This is one of the Cornish roasters that we are raising for meat! The food scale was just a fun way to measure the growth of our chicks. It is pretty Ironic! Friday we took the kids on a picnic to the mountains near our home.

Getting ready for our hike!
You didn't know that the desert southwest had places this pretty!

The grass was taller than Clayton.

And YES, We ran into a bear! That is a REAL bear!

The demolition has begun.....Wilfred is taking out a wall to build a room for our baby.
Wilfred made the kids happy by giving the kids a tub of water to make mud pies in. Of course mom had to clean up the mess!

Lindsy just had to help me make cinnamon rolls this morning. She was so excited she forgot to get dressed!

The bear was last years cub. He stood up about 4 1/2 feet tall. He was pretty impressive. He stood for us a few times and looked us over real good before he ran off. He ran a little ways and then looked back and gave a growl at us. The kids thought it was very cool!
