"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

Thanksgivings!

I am sorry for the lack of order in these pictures.......no matter how I tried to post them, blogger mixed them up.
We had a great 2 Thanksgivings. Yes, that is right I said 2 Thanksgivings. Twice the Turkey and all the fixings! (I hope to not see anymore Turkey for at least 3 or 4 months!) Our first meal was a week early with all my family. (Good thing we had 2 Turkeys to butcher!) The second meal was at our house and Morris and Jeanie and Warner and Crystal came down to see us. We also had some friends from here come and my cousin, his girlfriend and her family. It was a wonderful houseful! I was busy cooking and didn't take any pictures. :( Here is a picture of one of the birds. Both of them weighed in at 30lbs dressed. Wilfred built a smoker and smoked both birds. Lindsy is riding a 'wiggle car'. Her and Alexander and Clayton has so much fun playing together at the 1st Thanksgiving.
Alexander and the softball.
Wilfred giving Alexander a ride.
Uncle Warner and the kids watching YouTube videos.
Daddy was remounting his scope. The kids were very interested in what he was doing. They look like future hunters to me!
Reading Archie comics while waiting for breakfast.
The other day Clayton asked for meat on sticks. I asked him if he meant Kabobs and he yelled "yeah! Ka-bob-bas! I made elk kabobs and they were a hit!
Clayton enjoying his 'just meat' ka-bob-bas.
Wilfred enjoying a Louis L'Amour.
Sitting in a bin together.

Another Ka-bob-bas fan!
Hope you have enjoyed this. I had 2 really cute videos to post. Blogger wasn't allowing them to load so I will try to post them later.

I love how you write "Wilfred built a smoker" the same as you'd write, "I made the bed." Wow - that's pretty talented!

Loved the photos!

Those kabobs look great!
Louis L'Amour are great books! My hubby and I are into them big time. We chose our son names from one of his characters... Nolan Bowdrie.

I still haven't cooked a turkey! We ate a Chris's folks for Thanksgiving. I just took one out of my freezer because Chris's birthday is soon and he loves homemade turkey soup!!! I loved all of the new pictures, and I will have to try the kabobs sometime. We have lots of elk meat. :)

I thought I commented a long time ago! The pictures are so cute!
When we went on long trips when I was a kid, we'd usally have a Louis L'Amour book tape. Great times. They're the only books Wade will read. Lol!
