THERES A COW IN THE SKY!!!!.....
One thing October always brings here is Balloon Fiesta. (Wilfred calls it the balloon fiasco.) It is an International event bringing people from all over the world. As a kid I loved to go see it. Then I lost interest, now I have kids of my own and really enjoyed seeing their faces light up. The only downside is the balloons fly at 7 am. I had to get up at 4 and get everything ready. The kids and I picked my mom up at 5. We sat in traffic for an hour 5:45 to 6:45. I finally gave up on getting into the balloon park and found a nice spot along side the road. The kids have fun and I had fun watching them. Then the cops came and ran us all off. We got to see most of it. Sadly this year there was a fatality when one of the balloons hit the power lines and the balloon caught fire. Wilfred hates this time of year because the traffic is always the worst and the balloon can be a hazard to the job sites. Still it is a neat event. This is the First Balloon to go up.....the first one always carries the American Flag.

The Creamland cow. Creamland is the milk of New Mexico. We also saw Darth Vader, Nemo, The White House, a Castle, Wells Fargo Stagecoach and many others. (Too bad my camera ran out of batteries! )

We bought another house the other day. Thankfully we didn't have to mortgage it!

Missy is growing!
The little ham Happy to have a sucker!
I guess dress -up is in a girls genetic makeup. Here she is with her brother's hat, her purse, and her Daddy's boots!
We had snow Tuesday morning! We had about 2 inches total and then it started to rain. I snapped this picture after it had been raining. See the turkey heading into the wood shed?

Neat post! I love watching hot air balloons! One time we watched a balloon festival in Alpine, TX - much smaller version I'm sure - but it was so neat!
Great photos! I love reading your posts.
Hot air balloons are always fun. Congrats for getting up that early so your kids could enjoy them!
Hi, I finally got to check out your blog! The kids are adorable!
When I lived in Reno, we went to the hot air balloon festival nearly every year. It was a stretch to get up that early, but fun to watch it all. My friend Leilani and I actually drove from Vancouver, WA (moved there from Reno) one year to see it. Drove all night and arrived just in time to see the Dawn Ascension. Gorgeous!
Your kiddos are sure cute. My daughter is two also and is a little ham too!
